Okay, you guys, I was NOT going to watch Idol this season. We left the Tivo season pass set up and so it started automatically recording a few weeks ago. I was NOT going to watch it. I have a very BIG very IMPORTANT project this month and I was not going to get sucked into the time suck that is Idol. But after awhile I really wanted to relax and there is NOTHING else on tv these days. Two hours here, one hour there and BLAMMO the bomb-diggity dropped.
I am now totally sucked in for the rest of the season. I saw the youngest child of a former co-worker get a ticket to Hollywood. And I KNOW she'll be moving on to the top 12 because she's awesome, so awesome, she had a music scholarship to Millikin at 12 or 13 years old. If you live in Springfield I'm certain you've heard her sing at some wedding or event.
Go Elizabeth! I'll be rooting and voting for you.
This is Springfield's year for spawning greatness.

OK, you were not the last person in Springfield to know about this -you just informed me today!! I don't watch Idol, but now I may have to. Sorry I've been MIA, but this pregnancy is sucking everything out of me. And then there are the other two kids to take care of!

A friend of mine was on last season as well, so I got suckered into watching it. And have been addicted ever since (of course, long after it's glory days are over).
Stupid Idol gets me every damn year.
I'll have to check out this Springfield girl! Goooooooo IL!
Well, she didn't make it to the top 24 last night. Sad :(
